FleishmanHillard Korea hosted a session on ‘Quality of Women's Health’ at GEEF 2022

FleishmanHillard Korea hosted a session on ‘Quality of Women’s Health’ at the Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development (GEEF) 2022 held on February 10 in Seoul Korea.

Women’s health is a critical global agenda that must be addressed for sustainable development.

Korea has reached the lowest fertility rates since 2002 and is projected to become a super-aged society by 2025. The session aims to find the cause of this all-time low fertility and how to overcome a national crisis by looking at the lives of women from the relevant party’s perspective.

In the session, professors of maternal fetal medicine and mental health advised on the future policy direction from a professional perspective regarding the status of women’s health in Korea. The national assembly member and the policy maker of population policy presented government efforts to implement effective policies to address low birth rates through an approach that enhances women’s quality of life.

The Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development (GEEF) is an international forum where stakeholders convene to collaborate towards accomplishing the UN’s 2030 agenda for sustainable development. GEEF 2022 took place at Yonsei University on February 10-11, 2022 and is co-hosted by the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens under the theme of “REMEMBER Our Common Future”, focusing on examining the progress of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and facilitating discourse on the future directions of SDGs in the post COVID-19 era. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire event was live streamed online.
