FleishmanHillard’s Managing Director for TGI APAC participated in the SDGs Index plenary session at GEEF 2022
FleishmanHillard’s Managing Director for TRUE Global Intelligence APAC, Michael Rinaman participated in a plenary session on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Index at the Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development (GEEF) on February 11 in Seoul, Korea.
Since world leaders adopted 17 SDGs in 2015 at a UN Summit as a part of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, organizations from governments, non-government organizations, corporations and more have used the goals to maintain accountability for progress.
The session, hosted by Yonsei University, featured professors focused on a range of topics, including smart cities, artificial intelligence, urban regeneration and university rankings. Discussion focused on the ways that different types of data can be used to index performance against goals, better understand the way that institutions are driving SDG impacts, and how corporations can use SDGs to manage corporate reputation.
The Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development (GEEF) is an international forum where stakeholders convene to collaborate towards accomplishing the UN’s 2030 agenda for sustainable development. GEEF 2022 took place at Yonsei University on February 10-11, 2022 and is co-hosted by the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens under the theme of “REMEMBER Our Common Future”, focusing on examining the progress of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and facilitating discourse on the future directions of SDGs in the post COVID-19 era. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire event was live streamed online.
